When a laptop dies, the files you need are on its drive. In older laptops that drive comes out. In most current laptops the SSD is either a small M.2 card or soldered to the motherboard. We recover data from all of them.

BitLocker on Windows laptops
Most Windows 11 laptops encrypt their drive with BitLocker without asking. Recovery needs the 48-digit recovery key. If it was saved to a Microsoft account, you can find it at aka.ms/myrecoverykey. Look for it before you send the laptop, and we can help if you can’t find it.
How it works
Book online or call, and we collect the drive or you ship it to us. An engineer evaluates it, tells you what can be recovered and gives you a fixed quote. Recovery only starts when you approve it, and we work from a copy of the drive, never your only original.
Questions we get asked
Should I send the whole laptop?
Yes, with its charger. We take out the drive if it’s removable, and repair the board if the storage is soldered.
Start your recovery
Book online for a job number and shipping instructions, or call and talk to an engineer. We evaluate the drive and give you a fixed quote before any recovery work starts.
